Revenue is your charge rate times the hours you actually bill each month — not the hours the crane sits on site. From that we take the per-hour running costs (operator, fuel, maintenance) plus your fixed monthly overheads. What is left is the net profit and margin. Be honest about chargeable hours: that is where the money is won or lost.
