How this works
This is a standard amortising loan with a balloon (residual) at the end. The balloon is a lump sum you owe when the term finishes, so your monthly repayments only pay down the rest of the loan plus interest. A bigger balloon lowers the monthly payment but leaves more to pay or refinance later. Use your own lender's quote for exact figures.
